9 arraigned in VW Common Pleas Court

Nine people were arraigned on Tuesday as a result of a grand jury session held last Friday in Van Wert County Common Pleas Court.
Those arraigned included a Van Wert woman ordered held on a $5,000 cash bond after pleading to five felony counts.

Ruth Ann Napier-Caldwell, 22, entered not guilty pleas to one count of vandalism, a felony of the fifth degree, and four counts of burglary, each a second-degree felony. Judge Charles D. Steele set a pretrial conference in the case for 8 a.m. Wednesday, July 23.
Adam Hector, 26, of Ottawa, pleaded not guilty to one count each of vandalism, a fifth-degree felony, and burglary, a felony of the second degree. Judge Steele ordered Hector released on a personal surety bond, with the condition he have no contact with the alleged victim in the case, and also ordered an 8 p.m. curfew for Hector. A pretrial conference was scheduled for 8 a.m. Wednesday, July 30.
Others arraigned include the following:
Lee Hummer, 26, of Delphos, entered a not guilty plea to tampering with evidence, a felony of the third degree. He was released on a personal surety bond and a pretrial conference set for 8 a.m. July 30.
Tristan Moore, 28, of Payne, pleaded not guilty to two counts of aggravated vehicular assault, each a third-degree felony; three counts of attempted aggravated vehicular assault, all felonies of the fourth degree; and one count of operating a motor vehicle while impaired, a first-degree misdemeanor. Moore was released on a surety bond and will appear for a pretrial conference at 8 a.m. July 30.
Elmico Crisp, 38, of Van Wert, entered not guilty pleas to one count each of trafficking in drugs and trafficking in a counterfeit controlled substance, each a felony of the fifth degree. He was ordered held on a $5,000 cash bond and a pretrial conference was scheduled for 8 a.m. July 23.
Rhonda Risley, 45, of Convoy, pleaded not guilty to a charge of possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree. She was released on a personal surety bond and will appear for a pretrial conference at 8 a.m. July 30.
Donna Cole, 45, of Wren, entered a not guilty plea to a charge of obstructing justice, a fifth-degree felony offense. She was released on a surety bond and a pretrial conference scheduled for 8 a.m. July 30.
Drew Kenny, 21, of Van Wert, pleaded not guilty to one count of corrupting another with drugs, a felony of the second degree. He was released on a personal surety bond, with the additional condition that he have no contact with the alleged victim in the case. He was also given an 8 p.m. curfew.
Jason Eddins, 37, of Van Wert, entered not guilty pleas to one count each of possession of drugs and trafficking in counterfeit controlled substances, both felonies of the fifth degree, and one count of trafficking in drugs in the vicinity of a school, a fourth-degree felony offense. He was released on a personal surety bond and a pretrial conference set for 8 a.m. July 30.
More grand jury arraignments will be held this morning, as well as a number of other hearings, in Common Pleas Court
