Wren updates village weed/grass measure

Village of Wren information

WREN — Wren village officials recently approved an updated Ordinance (No. 2014-01, and residents and property owners in the village limits need to familiarize themselves with the changes.

The new ordinance, which regulates weeds and grass in the village, has been approved by the village solicitor and is available for viewing at the Wren Post Office or the Wren Town Hall (by appointment).  Wren property owners can call the Town Hall and leave a message at 419.495.2929 and a copy of the new ordinance will be made available for them. Well-maintained yards and properties will not impacted by the ordinance.

All village residents will soon receive a postcard announcing the new ordinance – which went in to effect July 14.

This is also a good time to remind residents of the upcoming Wren Homecoming festival on August 14-16 help village officials keep Wren looking good.

Another reminder – village residents have all been asked to blow their grass into their property and not out onto the streets.
