Richard Johnson

Richard “Dick” Johnson, 69, of Celina, died at 7:47 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born September 26, 1944, in Wauseon, the son of Leota (Pangle) Johnson, who survives in the Rockford area, and the late Ervin Johnson. On May 3, 1969, he married Brenda (Roberts) Johnson, who preceded him in death in 2009.

Survivors include two daughters, Toni (Grady) Hunter of Glenmore and Cindy (Brian Brown) Conn of Mendon; a brother, Don (Gerry) Johnson of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Diana (Paul) Hines and Sue Wenning, both of Rockford; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, August 4, at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, with Pastor George Maddox officiating. Burial will be in Mercer Memory Gardens in Celina.

Calling hours are from 3-8 p.m. Sunday, August 3, and an hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
