Edward F. ‘Doc’ Laman
Edward F. “Doc” Laman, 91, of Delphos, died at 8:45 a.m. Sunday, August 3, 2014, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Delphos.
He was born June 1, 1923, in Allen County, Ohio, the son of the late Virgil C. and Pauline (Plikard) Laman. On September 15, 1945, he married Pauline (Armstrong) Laman, who preceded him in death on June 29, 1984. He then married Sarah “Anne” (McAdow) Good Laman on October 19, 1985, and she survives in Delphos.
Other survivors include a son, Dave Laman of Delphos; one stepson, Gary (Debra) Good of Delphos; a daughter, Claudia (Philip) McGriff of Piqua; two stepdaughters, Carolyn (Jim) Bode of Springfield and Connie (Brian) Frobase of Elida; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; seven stepgrandchildren; and 13 stepgreat-grandchildren.
A brother, Thomas C. Laman, also preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 7, at Harter and Schier Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Paul Scannell officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Delphos.
Calling hours are from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, August 6, at the funeral home, where a Masonic service will take place at 8 that evening.
Preferred memorials: St. Paul United Methodist Church in Elida, State of the Heart Hospice or Equestrian Therapy.
