10 arraigned in VW Common Pleas Court

A Van Wert man held on $100,000 bond felony sex charges was among 10 people arraigned on indictments handed down by the August session of the Van Wert County Grand Jury.

Michael Vandagriff, 38, pleaded not guilty to two counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity oriented material or performance, each a felony of the second degree. A pretrial conference was scheduled in Van Wert County Common Pleas Court for 8 a.m. Wednesday, August 13.

Elmeco Crisp, 38, of Vann Wert, was arraigned Tuesday on a charge of trafficking in drugs in the vicinity of a juvenile, a felony of the fourth degree. He pleaded not guilty to the charge and was ordered held on a $50,000 cash bond. A pretrial conference was set for 8 a.m. 8 a.m. August 13.

Elizabeth Roberts, 26, of Van Wert, entered not guilty pleas to one count each of trafficking in marijuana and complicity to trafficking in marijuana, both fourth-degree felony offenses. She was released on a personal surety bond and a pretrial conference scheduled for 8 a.m. Wednesday, August 20.

Joshua Roberts, 32, of Van Wert, pleaded not guilty to three counts of trafficking in marijuana, each a felony of the fourth degree, and third-degree felony count of trafficking in marijuana. He was released on a surety bond and is scheduled to appear for a pretrial conference at 8 a.m. August 20.

Ruby Hollingsworth, 55, of Van Wert, entered not guilty pleas to three counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs, each a felony of the third degree. She was released on a surety bond and a pretrial conference was scheduled for 8 a.m. August 20.

Michael Whisman, 23, of Van Wert, pleaded not guilty to one count each of burglary and complicity to burglary, each a second-degree felony, and complicity to theft, a felony of the fifth degree. He was ordered held on a $100,000 bond and is scheduled for appear for a pretrial conference at 8 a.m. August 13.

Jayme Fox, 28, of Van Wert, entered a not guilty plea to a charge of theft, a felony of the fifth degree. She was released on a surety bond and will appear for a pretrial conference at 8 a.m. August 20.

Sonny Metzger, 39, of Van Wert, pleaded not guilty to a charge of possession of heroin, a fifth-degree felony offense. He was released on a surety bond and a pretrial conference was set for 8 a.m. August 13.

Joe Quevedo, 49, of Van Wert, entered a not guilty plea to attempted aggravated burglary, a felony of the second degree. He was ordered held on a $100,000 cash bond and will appear for a pretrial conference at 8 a.m. August 13.

Casey McMillen, 30, of Van Wert, pleaded not guilty to one count each of possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree, and escape, a third-degree felony offense. He was ordered held on a $10,000 cash bond and a pretrial conference was scheduled for 8 a.m. August 13.

Also Wednesday, Jesse Blackburn, 22, of Delphos, was given three years of community control, including up to six months in the Western Ohio Regional Treatment and Habilitation (WORTH) Center in Lima, on a charge of trafficking in heroin, a fifth-degree felony. His driver’s license was also suspended for six months.

Dantonio Wilson, 24, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, pleaded guilty to a prosecutor’s bill of information charging him with burglary, a second-degree felony offense. A sentencing hearing was scheduled for 9 a.m. August 13.

James Sidle, 50, of Convoy, was given 12 months in prison after admitting he violated his probation by failing to report to the probation department, failing to report to jail, and failure to attend counseling sessions. He was given credit for 180 days served while awaiting a final hearing in his case.

Robert Hartman, 24, of Van Wert, admitted to violating his probation by being arrested on charges filed in Van Wert Municipal Court, during a hearing held before retired Common Pleas Judge David Faulkner. A sentencing hearing will be conducted at a later date.
