O-G edges Cougars in WBL girls’ tennis

The Ottawa-Glandorf girls’ tennis team edged the Lady Cougars 3-2 in a Western Buckeye League match played at Van Wert on Monday.
Van Wert’s No. 1 singles player Ali Moreland remained undefeated in WBL play with a 7-5, 6-1 victory over O-G’s Tiffany Kahle, while the Cougars’ No. 2 doubles team of Phone Eutsler and Jess Agler also won, 6-1, 6-2, over Lady Titans Beth Pothoff and Erin Hageman.

No. 2 singles – Katie Trittschuh (VW) lost to Lauren Schneeg (O-G) 6-2, 6-4.
No. 2 singles – Sydney Felger (VW) lost to Kristen Ellerbrock (O-G) 7-5, 6-4.
No. 1 doubles – Hannah Stemen and Kali Agler (VW) lost to Madison Heckman and Robin Mass (O-G) 6-1, 6-2.
Van Wert is now 0-2 overall and 0-1 in the WBL, while the Titans are 1-2 overall and 1-0 in league play.
