Knight v-ball team defeats Wayne Trace

CONVOY — The Lady Knights of Crestview showed tonight they were ready to finally play a match on their home court. Crestview was victorious over Wayne Trace in three straight games, by scores of 25-12, 25-12, and 25-17. The Lady Knights are now 4-0 and will be back in action as they host the Panthers of Parkway. Crestview prepares for a big week, as it will compete in five matches, beginning Monday at 5:30 p.m.

Leading the Knights were:

• Serving – Mackenzie Riggenbach, 17/18, with 3 aces; Claire Zaleski, 14/15; Haley Helm, 11/11
• Hitting – Courtney Trigg, 18 kills; Megan Hartman, 7 kills; Zaleski, 5 kills; Helm, 4 kills
• Setting – Riggenbach, 17 assists; Brady Guest, 15 assists
• Digs – Helm, 10; Tianna Rager, 9
• Blocks – Helm, 3 stuff blocks; Guest, 2 stuff blocks
• Serve Receive – Tianna Rager, 17/18.

The Crestview junior varsity team was also victorious in two games, 25-18 and 25-17. Crestview’s JVs are 2-2 overall.
