Bachwell Center opens

Van Wert Area Chamber of Commerce board members and city and county economic development officials were on hand to cut the ribbon on a new downtown Van Wert business: The Bachwell Center for Music and Dance. The new business, located in the former Anderson Architects building at 116 N. Washington St., will provide lessons for piano, guitar and voice, as well as dance lessons. Future plans for the center include a recording studio. The new business will be having an open house from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday. (Dave Mosier/Van Wert independent)
