Knights beat Jefferson in v-ball action

The Crestview Lady Knights bounced back in conference play as they defeated Delphos Jefferson in three straight games. Scores were 25-18, 25-8 and 25-13.

The Lady Knights are now 6-1 overall and 1-1 in the Northwest Conference and will be back in action on Saturday as they travel to Kalida for a tri-match with Antwerp and Kalida. The day begins at 10 a.m., with Crestview competing in the second and third matches.

Leading the Knights on Thursday were:

Serving — Mackenzie Riggenbach, 16/16 with 2 aces; Brady Guest, 15/16 with 2 aces.

Hitting — Courtney Trigg, 18 kills; Megan Hartman, 14 kills; Guest, 5 kills; Claire Zaleski and Haley Helm, 3 kills each.

Setting — Riggenbach, 14 assists; Guest, 18 assists.

Digs — Tianna Rager, 6.

Serve Receive — Rager, 13/13.

The Crestview junior varsity team was also victorious in two games, 26-24 and 25-23. Crestview JVs are 3-4 overall and 1-1 in conference play.
