Food challenge

One of the fun challenges held prior to this year’s United Way Day of Caring on Friday was a food drive challenge between Vantage Career Center and Braun Industries. Both entities competed to see who could fill a Braun ambulance with the most food. Vantage students, who donated 4.8 food items per person, compared to 4.0 items for Braun employees, won the challenge, but the ultimate winner was The Salvation Army Food Bank, which got the food. A blood drive and Service Club food drive challenge are part of the Day of Caring, to be held Friday, September 27.
