Cougar golf team gets split in tri-match

LIMA — The Cougar varsity golf team traveled to Tamarac Golf Course to take on Lima Central Catholic and Elida in the final regular season match of the year.

Van Wert shot 175 to split the tri-match, beating Elida 175-191 but losing to LCC 158-175.

The Cougars finish the regular season 4-8 and travel to Kalida on Thursday to compete in the Division II Sectional Tournament.
