Knight v-ball team defeats Spencerville

Crestview volleyball information

CONVOY — Crestview hosted the Spencerville Bearcats on Thursday and finished with a Northwest Conference victory. Individual game scores were 25-15, 25-9 and 25-18.

With the win, the Lady Knights improve to 13-1 overall and 4-1 in the NWC. Crestview will finish off its week by hosting the Lady Knight Invitational, sponsored by Fricker’s, on Saturday (see story below). Crestview opens up the tournament at 9 a.m. against Celina.

Leading the Knights over Spencerville were the following:

Serving — Haley Helm, 15/15 with 3 aces; Megan Hartman, 11/11 with 1 ace; Brady Guest, 3 aces.

Hitting — Courtney Trigg, 16 kills; Hartman, 6 kills; Guest, 5 kills.

Setting — Mackenzie Riggenbach, 13 assists; Guest, 13 assists.

Digs — Claire Zaleski, 7 digs; Tianna Rager, 5 digs.

Blocks — Hartman, 3 stuff blocks

The Crestview junior varsity volleyball team was also victorious by scores of 25-3 and 25-19. The Knights JVs are 8-6 overall and 4-1 in conference play.
