Friday night the football team played against Columbus Grove. It was a rough game for the Knights, but they fought hard. Sadly, the Knights fell to Grove with a final score of 26 to 13. The Knights will surely use this loss to improve themselves and get ready for their next game.

This Saturday the boys’ varsity cross country team, and Ashley Bowen from the girls’ team went to Tiffin for Regionals. Senior Zack Jellison said, “The race went pretty well, it wasn’t my best race this season, but we didn’t do too bad as a team and I’m excited for my teammate Mycah (Grandstaff), because he made it to state. I can’t wait to see how he represents Crestview.”  The boys had a 12th place finish as a team, and senior Mycah Grandstaff finished third place and advances to the state meet as in individual. Bowen also ran a great race and finished 18th with a time of 20:28.

On Saturday the marching band ventured to Swanton for their final competition. The band has worked hard this year and tried to improve every competition. The band was thrilled to hear their last score of the year, which was a 216. This was the highest score of the season and all the band members were happy with how their last show went. Senior Taylor Hughes said, “As a section leader, field commander, and senior I am so proud of everything the band has accomplished this year. Though we really wanted a 220 we still brought our score up five points in two weeks. It was a great time performing with this group of people and I will miss them like crazy.” All of the senior band members were grateful for the hard work and effort the band put in and made this a wonderful season.
