In the first game, the Lady Green defense forced Wayne Trace into turning the ball over numerous times en route to a 48-40 victory of the Lady Raiders.

Annie Lindeman was the top scorer for Ottoville, with 11 points, while Bridget Landin and Lexie Wannemacher each added 8 points for the Lady Big Green. Erin Mohr led a young Wayne Trace team with 16 points, while Shayna Temple added 10 points in a losing effort.

Ottoville led 9-7 at the end of the first quarter and had upped that to a six-point lead, 20-14, at the half. It was 29-22 at the three-quarter mark.

In the second game, Crestview’s defense dominated the Van Wert Lady Cougars, holding top scorer Erin Morrow to 6 points, while Riley Jones led Van Wert with 8 points. Senior Terra Crowle and junior Emily Bauer each had 11 points for the Lady Knights, while Lindsey Motycka added 9 points for Crestview.

The game was close for a period, with the Knights eking out a two-point lead, 10-8, at the end of the first quarter. It was all downhill from there, though, as Crestview held Van Wert to just 11 points for the rest of the game, while the Lady Knights scored 35 points in the same period.

Crestview led by 14 points, 23-9, at the half, while the Cougars trailed by 15 points, 31-16, at the three-quarter mark.

Van Wert was just 2 of 8 from the free throw line, while the Knights made 5 of 8 from the charity stripe.

Tonight’s games will feature the Cougars and Raiders in the consolation game, while Crestview will play the “tall trees” of Ottoville in the championship game. The first game will begin at 6 p.m.
