Bowling teams donations

The Van Wert chapter of the Men’s USBC Bowling Association donated $500 to the local VWHS boys’ and girls’ bowling teams. This year, VWHS has 29 bowlers on the boys and girls teams combined. This is about three times the number of bowlers that have been participating in the program for the past several years. Due to the large increase in numbers, there was a big need to help pay for new uniforms for the players. Van Wert’s Youth chapter of the USBC Junior association also donated $100 to the boys’ and girls’ programs. Girls’ Coach Tammy Metzger was extremely pleased with the donations. “It’s great to see so many high schoolers interested in bowling and it’s awesome to have the support of our local USBC programs to help contribute to both teams,” Metzger said.
