Alice Rose Adams

Alice Rose Adams, 89, of Van Wert, died at 6:45 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2014, at Hearth and Home of Van Wert.

She was born March 28, 1925, in Hoaglin Township, Van Wert County, the daughter of Hugh J. and Hila S. (Hattery) Waltz, who both preceded her in death. On August 3, 1943, she married John B. “Jack” Adams, who also preceded her in death on December 20, 2006.

Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Callihan and Barbara (Dr. William) Johnson, both of Fort Myers, Florida; a brother, Hugh (Peg) Waltz of Van Wert; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

A sister, Margaret Waltz Hammonds, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at a later date.

There will be no calling hours.

Preferred memorials: Donor’s choice.

Arrangements were handled by Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert.
