A Van Wert man was also sentenced on a drug-related charge. Sonny Metzger, 40, was given three years of community control and had his driver’s license suspended for six months on a charge of possession of heroin, a felony of the fifth degree.
Four people also changed their pleas from not guilty to guilty on Tuesday.

Couch then requested, and was granted, treatment in lieu of conviction.
Heather Ratliff, 37, of Convoy, changed her plea to guilty to one count of attempted forgery, a first-degree misdemeanor, which was reduced from forgery, a fifth-degree felony, in exchange for her guilty plea.
