Lady Lancers down Wayne Trace girls

The Lincolnview Lady Lancers defeated the Wayne Trace girls 56-45 Tuesday in a non-conference contest played Tuesday at Lincolnview.
The Lady Lancers had three players in double figures, led by Julia Thatcher and Hannah McCleery, who each had 20 points in the contest. Ashton Bowersock added 10 points for Lincolnview. Wayne Trace junior Erin Mohr was the game’s top scorer, with 23 points, but no other Lady Raider was in double figures for the game.
The Lady Lancers led by three points, 15-12, at the end of the first quarter, and maintained that lead at the half, 25-22. Lincolnview outscored the Raiders 16-11 in the third quarter to take an eight-point lead, 41-33, into the final period of play. The Lancers and Wayne Trace then repeated their first quarter scoring to end the game at 56-45.
Lincolnview shot well from the field, canning 22 of 44 field goal attempts (50 percent), including 2 of 5 three-pointers (40 percent). The Lady Lancers were 10 of 16 at the line (62.5 percent).
The Raiders didn’t fare as well from the field, making 14 of 39 field goal attempts (35.9 percent). Wayne Trace was 2 of 9 from three-point range (22.2 percent), and made 15 of 23 free-throw attempts (65.2 percent).
The Lancers also had the edge in rebounding, 27-22, but also had two more turnovers, 13-11, than Wayne Trace.
