Evelyn (Mason) Ludwig

Evelyn (Mason) Ludwig, 74, of Van Wert, died at 1:40 a.m. Thursday, December 25, 2014, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert.

She was born February 10, 1940, in Hudson, Michigan, the daughter of Austin E. and Bessie (Butts) Mason, who both preceded her in death. On August 26, 1959, she married William H. Ludwig, who died July 2, 2011.

Survivors include two children, Sue A. (Daniel) Jones and Jeffrey O. Ludwig, both of Delphos; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A son, Michael A. Ludwig; one brother, Warren Mason; and two sisters, Ruth Johnson and Irene Otte, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, December 28, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Mohr Cemetery in rural Van Wert County.

Calling hours are from 2-6 p.m. Saturday, December 27, at the funeral home.
