Hermie G. Snyder

Hermie G. Snyder, 86, died Monday, December 29, 2014, at Van Wert Manor.

He was born July 1, 1928, in rural Ridge Township, Van Wert County, the son of Russell and Ray (Overholt) Snyder, who both preceded him in death.  He married Irene (Spealman) Snyder, who also preceded him in death.

Survivors include two daughters, Marcia Snyder and Jean Ann Kline, both of Van Wert; a son, Kim B. (Renee) Snyder of Florida; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Four brothers and two sisters also preceded him in death.

Mr. Snyder was a small-engine repairman and spent a great part of his career employed by the former Mohr’s of Scott store. He was a member of North Union United Methodist Church in rural Van Wert County.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 2, 2015, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. Greg Wak officiating. Burial will follow in Scott Cemetery.

Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, January 1, 2015, and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services Friday at the funeral home.
