Floyd L. Yaney

Floyd L. “Fly” Yaney, 76, of Van Wert, died at 9:55 a.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at his residence.

He was born November 15, 1938, in Hartford City, Indiana, the son of Job M. and Francis (Swartzkopf) Yaney, who both preceded him in death.

Survivors include two daughters, Tammy Methot of Van Wert and Nicole Crowell of Coldwater; a son, Robert (Kathy) Yaney of Erastur; three brothers, Dean Yaney and Ronald Yaney, both of Celina, and David Yaney; and six grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday, January 2, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert. Interment will be at a later date in Mercer Memory Gardens in Celina.

Calling hours are from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
