Ferne A. Wollet

Ferne A. Wollet, 95, of Van Wert, died at 1:02 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2015, at her residence.

She was born February 16, 1919, in Wellington, the daughter of Thurmon and Della (Bridges) Auble, who both preceded her in death. She married Waldo “Peg” Wollet, who also preceded her in death.

Survivors include three sons, James (Marge) Wollet of Convoy, Thomas Wollet of Portland, Indiana, and Timothy (Janet) Wollet of Van Wert; two brothers, Robert (Sally) McDonald and Lyle (Helen) Auble, both of California; a sister, Isabelle (Tom) Beal of Avon Lake; nine grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren.

A son, Jay Wollet; two brothers, Harold and Warren Auble; two sisters, Pauline Pitts and Jeannette Branson; a grandchild; and one great-grandchild also preceded her in death.

Private graveside funeral services will be conducted at a later date at Ridge Cemetery in rural Van Wert County.

Calling hours are from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert.
