Tony Allan Swander

Tony Allan Swander, 55, of Van Wert, died at 7:22 a.m. Friday, January 16, 2015, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

He was born August 9, 1959, in Van Wert, the son of Paul W. and Rhea Bernice (Boroff) Swander, who both preceded him in death. On June 28, 1988, he married Lori L. Knittle-Delgado, who survives in Rockford.

Other survivors include two stepchildren, Jarod (Jaime Tucker) Delgado of Payne and Ginny (Clint) Boroff of Delphos; two brothers, Darrell E. (Diana) Swander of Ohio City, and Paul G. “Tip” (Janeece Friesner) Swander of Van Wert; seven grandchildren; and several aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastor Randy Bevington officiating.

Calling hours are from 2-4 p.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.
