County auditor notes dog tag deadline

Van Wert County Auditor Nancy Dixon announces that Saturday, January 31, is the last day to purchase dog licenses without a penalty. After January 31, there will be a $15 penalty for individual licenses.
Licenses can be purchased in the auditor’s office, Room 205 in the Van Wert County Courthouse, or at the following locations in the county:
- Hall Lumber Company, 122 S. Main St. in Convoy
- The Rambler’s Roost truck stop on Lincoln Highway near Middle Point
- Van Wert Animal Clinic (Dr. Wilkin), Lincoln Highway in Van Wert
- Van Wert Veterinary Clinic (Dr. Trapp), Van Wert-Decatur Road in Van Wert
- Ohio City Express, 511 W. Carmean St. in Ohio City
- Delphos Ace Hardware, 242 N. Main St. in Delphos
- Emme Lu’s Pet Wellness Center LLC, 706 W. Ervin Road, Suite C, in Van Wert
- Dog House Grooming & Supplies, 117 N. Washington St. in Van Wert
- J & A Merchandising, 200 Walcott St. in Willshire
A stamped, self-addressed envelope, along with the proper fee, must accompany the return of applications by mail. Also, if purchasing dog tags at one of the above locations, be sure to take the application, if one was received.
Dog tags may be ordered online until January 31 only at www.co.vanwert.oh.us/dogs.php and click on the “Form/Publications” link.
