Sheriff has dog warden activity report

Van Wert County Sheriff Thomas M. Riggenbach has released the Van Wert County dog warden activity report for the year of 2014.

The dog warden traveled 9,584 miles while answering citizen’s complaints, conducting tag enforcement and assisting other agencies. He also investigated 530 complaints, impounded 366 dogs, returned 115 dogs to their owners and adopted out 202 dogs.

The dog warden also issued 71 citations and 22 warnings.
