This week is a very busy week for the Crestview Knights. With FFA week in full swing, the boys’ basketball last conference game tomorrow night at Columbus Grove and the girls’ tournament game Saturday night with a 6:15 tip-off at Van Wert High School, Crestview High School is buzzing with excitement.

Many students here at Crestview are in FFA, and FFA week is what all those students look forward to all year long. With it finally here the students at Crestview are very excited that their long wait is finally over. Senior Mitchell Rickard said, “I always look forward to FFA week every year. It’s a great time for fellowship with all of our members. My favorite part has to be all of the great food we get during the week.”

The Crestview Knights boys’ basketball team faces their last conference opponent tomorrow night as the play at Columbus Grove. This season has been interesting for the Knights, having to adjust to many different line-ups due to injury, however the Knights are gearing up for tournament with a record of 12-7.  Senior Nate Owens said, “This team could be dangerous in tournament because we have great team chemistry. Also we have faced so much adversity all season long, it could be an exciting tournament run.”

For the 22-0 Lady Knights, they are excited to start their second season as tournament action starts this weekend. The Knights finished the season with a perfect record and have been firing on all cylinders all season long.  Junior Emily Bauer said, “The season has gone well so far. We are feeling pretty comfortable going into tournament, however we know that every team we play is going to give us their best shot since we are undefeated. So we just have to stay humble and continue to play as a team.”

As the tournament starts to ramp up, so does the energy here at Crestview. The athletes and fans can’t wait to see how the tournament unfolds this year.
