Gaylord Lynn Taylor

Gaylord Lynn Taylor, 88, of Van Wert, died at 4:32 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2015.

He was born April 15, 1926, in Ohio City, the son of Cecil Calvert and Florence Lillian (Shindeldecker) Taylor, who both preceded him in death.

Survivors include a son, David Lynn (Jackie) Taylor of Van Wert; one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Engstrand of Van Wert; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

A sister, Coral Evelyn Marbaugh; and one brother, Maurice Calvert Taylor, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 7, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastor Kevin Wilcox officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.

Calling hours are from 10 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
