National FFA Week at Parkway

On Feb. 23 through 27, the Parkway FFA Chapter celebrated National FFA Week. During the week the chapter held various activities.

The chapter had dress up themes for every day of the week. Monday was FFA Apparel, Tuesday dress like an Ag teacher, Wednesday duct tape day, Thursday Carhartt/Camo day and Friday was Flannel Friday.

On Monday the chapter also held a truck drive-in and gave prizes out to students. Winners are as follows. Biggest: Cooper Clouse, Smallest: Hunter Hamrick, Cleanest: Riley Armstrong, Newest: Jensen Riley, and Oldest: Job Beair.

On Tuesday the FFA held an FFA Luncheon.

In other activities, the chapter had a coloring contest for the elementary and awarded prizes.

The chapter also held a canned food drive for the whole school. The school collected 1887 cans thought the week.

On Friday the chapter ended the week with an Apple Pie Bake-off. The winners for best-looking pie were: 1st — Alex Altenbach, 2nd –Taylor Hesse, and 3rd — Alexa Hagens. Best tasting pie winners were: 1st — Whitney Rollins, 2nd — Katelin Ausburger, and 3rd –Courtney Lies. To see more pictures, “Like” Parkway FFA on Facebook.
