‘Easter Bone Hunt’ set for Van Wert dogs

Dogs and their people are invited to have a woofin’ good time at the free Easter Bone Hunt for dogs to be held in Smiley Park at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 4 (following the Kids’ Egg Hunt at 10 that morning).

There will be a field of eggs filled with dog treats for pooches to find. Bring a basket to collect the goodies, and a camera to snap a shot of dogs with the Easter Bunny.

Dogs 40 pounds and under will be in the first wave, and dogs over 40 pounds will immediately follow in the second wave. All dogs must be on a leash.

Information on the upcoming Van Wert County Humane Society Open House scheduled for April 11 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. will be available during the event. Donations support the Van Wert County Humane Society.
