Mary J. Bebout

Mary J. Bebout, 89, of Van Wert, died at 3:35 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2015, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born September 1, 1925, in Paulding, the daughter of Frank and Clara (Fraker) Eschbach, who both preceded her in death. She married Gene L. Bebout, who died May 6, 1996.

Survivors include four children, Steve E. (Marilyn) Bebout, Scott A. (Angie) Bebout and Connie S. Bebout, all of Van Wert, and Deborah J. Oliver of Greenville; a son-in-law, Randy Agler of Van Wert; two sisters, Virginia Amli of Dayton and Annabelle Ishmael of Virginia Beach, Virginia; seven grandchildren, Joshua Bricker, Jennifer Porter, Kristen Terhark, Brian Agler, Heather Prichard, Alyssa Bebout and Jaxon Bebout; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Joyce A. Agler; two brothers, Robert and Lloyd Eschbach; and two sisters, Beatrice Allmandinger and Kathryn Yoder, also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Bebout worked for Van Wert City School District. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Van Wert.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 2, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, at the funeral home.
