The Crestview Knights are building momentum into spring events. Due to the weather the girls’ track meet at Versailles this past weekend was cancelled. Despite the cancellation last weekend, the boys’ are up for their shot at the competition this weekend. The meet will begin bright and early at 9 a.m.  Fans are invited to come and support the Knights at Versailles this Saturday.

The boys’ baseball team started their season swinging against Delphos St. John’s at Crestview. Senior Mitchell Rickard said, “We are all really excited to see what this baseball season has in store for us. We are working hard to try and fill those spots the seniors last year left. We are ready to leave our own mark on the program.”

The girls’ softball team is winding up their season with a couple games already underway. Their next game is away, Tuesday April 7 against Hicksville with a 5 p.m. start. Sophomore Cora Millay said, “I think the team has really good chemistry this year. I am looking forward to a fun season ”.

Last Wednesday, the Crestview Red/Blue club had a raffle drawing to reward students for their achievements. There were dozens of gift cards to various restaurants including Taco Bell and Olive Garden. Students had their names entered for both the Fall and Winter semesters. Red club members had their names once per semester while Blue club members had two entries per semester. The grand prize was a 32-inch flat screen television won by Kaitlin Hallfeldt.

The Crestview Music Program finished Dinner Theatre this past Saturday with a packed house. Both nights were a success full of duets, dance numbers, and chilling group melodies.

While other programs are stretching out for spring, the high school scholastic bowl team is in the home stretch for the end of their competition season. Due to their ranking from their NWC competition late last year, the varsity team will continue the season April 18 at Regionals. They begin practice again this week in preparation for the competition.
