Lincolnview track teams meet champions

The Lincolnview Lancer track teams started off their season Tuesday night with a home meet against Crestview, Paulding, and Ottoville.  Both Lancer teams won the meet, with the boys scoring 100 points, versus 55 for Crestview, 54.5 for Paulding, and 42 for Ottoville. The girls’ team scored 76 points, while Paulding had 68.5, Ottoville 61.5, and Crestview 45.

Event winners for the Lincolnview boys included Hunter Blankemeyer, who won the 110-meter hurdles, 300-meter hurdles, the high jump, and anchored the winning 4×100-meter relay team. Bayley Tow won the 800-, 1600-, and 3200-meter runs. The boys’ 4×800-meter relay also took first place.

Event winners for the girls included Anna Gorman, who won the 800- and 1600-meter runs, and ran on the winning 4×800-meter relay team. Makenna Klausing won the 200-meter dash, while Alyssa Matthews won the shotput.

First-place finishers for Crestview included Sage Schaffner in the 100-meter dash, Zach Jellison in the 200-meter dash, the boys’ 4×200-meter and 4×400-meter relay teams, Ashley Bowen in the 3200-meter run and Bekka Tracey in the discus.
