2 arrested as part of drug investigation

Two people were arrested Thursday evening in connection with a drug trafficking investigation, according to Van Wert County Sheriff Thomas M. Riggenbach.

Arrested was Kyle T. Sterrett, 35, and Haley L. Ehrsam, 22, both of 611 E. Crawford St. in Van Wert.

Both Sterrett and Ehrsam made initial appearances on one count each of trafficking in drugs, a felony of the fourth degree, in Van Wert Municipal Court.

The arrests were made by officers from the West Central Ohio Crime Task Force, assisted by county sheriff’s deputies.

Sheriff Riggenbach said the investigation is continuing and additional charges may be filed in the case.
