Knight track teams 2nd at Spencerville

SPENCERVILLE — The Crestview boys’ and girls’ track and field teams finished second to Spencerville in a Northwest Conference tri-meet held Tuesday at Spencerville.

The Bearcat boys generated 70 points, to 54 points for Crestview and 49 points for Delphos Jefferson. The Spencerville girls finished with 92 points, while the Lady Knights scored 36 points and the Lady Jeffcats had 34 points.

First-place finishers for Crestview included the following:

Girls

Katie Hughes in the high jump, Ashley Bowen in the 3200-meter run and the girls’ 4×800-meter relay team.

Boys

Zach Jellison in the 100-meter dash, Mycah Grandstaff in the 1600- and 3200-meter runs, Sage Schaffner in the 200-meter dash and the boys’ 4×400- 4×200- and 4×800-meter relay teams.
