ABLE classes at Vantage, other area sites

ABLE program information

Adult Basic and Literacy Education (ABLE) classes are offered through Vantage Career Center.  Many adults attend ABLE classes to refresh basic skills in reading, writing and math, improve skills needed for employment or further education, or prepare for the GED® exam to obtain a high school equivalency diploma.  ABLE classes are offered at convenient times and locations throughout the Vantage service area, including Van Wert, Paulding, Delphos and Celina.

The next registration date for new students is Monday, May 4. In Van Wert, registration will be held at Vantage Career Center, 818 N. Franklin St., from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. or from 5:30 until
8:30 p.m.  Regular classes meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the same times.

Paulding classes are held at the Paulding County Ohio Means Jobs Center, 252 Dooley Drive, Suite B.  Students may register at the next orientation session: Monday, May 4, from 12:00 Noon until 3:00 p.m.

Delphos classes are located at the Delphos Public Library, 309 W. Second St. Class times are Monday and Wednesday; 1-4 p.m. Orientation is the first Monday of the month.

In Celina, classes are located at the Mercer County Ohio Means Jobs Center, 220 W. Livingston St. New students may register on Monday, May 4, from 9 a.m. until noon. Classes in Celina meet on Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon.

ABLE classes can help students prepare for the new computer-based GED® test and assist in making goals for further education, adult certificate training or a better job a reality. ABLE classes offer individual learning plans and a supportive environment for adult students.  Online instructional options are also available so students can work on their own schedule.
