Mock crash

A number of first-responders were involved in a mock crash exercise held at Lincolnview High School Friday afternoon. The scenario, planned by the Middle Point Fire Department, involved a drunk driving incident where a minivan crashed into a semi tractor-trailer rig. Mock crashes are designed to show students the dangers of drinking and driving during prom season. Here, students watch as firefighters attempt to free victims from a van while a life-flight helicopter hovers overhead. (photo by Jeff Snyder for the Van Wert independent)
