Paula J. Ryan

Paula J. Ryan, 64, of Van Wert, went to be with her Heavenly Father at 9:06 a.m. Sunday, May 31, 2015, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born June 15, 1950, in Van Wert, the daughter of Paul Hoverman, who survives in Van Wert, and Betty (Fisher) Hoverman, who preceded her in death. She married Larry W. Ryan, who also survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include five children, Laura (Thad) Eikenbary of Van Wert, Brett (Megan) Ryan of Van Wert, Marc Ryan of Haviland, Lance (Misty) Ryan of Van Wert and Ashley (Jacob) Sinn of Van Wert; three brothers, Lew Hoverman of Richlands, North Carolina; Jim (Jeanne) Hoverman of Pickerington and Larry (Jill) Hoverman of Van Wert; a sister, Karen (Tim) Barrick of Newville, Pennsylvania; and 16 grandchildren, Jacey, Lauren, Carter, Alyssa, Saxon, Cruiz, Landon, Ashlyn, Holden, Victoria, Noah, Makayla, Delaney, Sidney, Mox and Jarret.

Paula was currently employed at Total Reflections in Van Wert and by the Van Wert City School District. She was a very active member of Calvary Evangelical Church in Van Wert and loved being with family and friends.

A celebration of life will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 21 (Father’s Day), at Calvary Evangelical Church, with the Rev. Clark Williman officiating.

Calling hours are from 1-4 p.m. June 21 at the church.

Preferred memorials: Ries Memorial at Calvary Evangelical Church or Community Health Professionals in Van Wert.
