Reading program to celebrate 100 years

The Brumback Library invites patrons of all ages to attend an open house in honor of the 100th anniversary of the library’s Summer Reading Program.

Since 1915, the Brumback Library has sought to foster a love of reading, learning and discovery in children. As one of the longest running summer reading programs in Ohio, the library has literally touched the lives of generations of children.

In this, the program’s 100th year, registered participants may attend a variety of educationally based programs, events and activities held throughout June and July.

The open house will be conducted from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, in a celebration highlighting an important milestone in Brumback Library’s outreach to the youngest residents of Van Wert County. The event special story time program featuring guest readers Deb Kleinhenz and Diane Hood, as well as games and other activities, as well as refreshments (click here for schedule of events for this week).
