Mary Lee Clay
Mary Lee Clay, 87, of Van Wert, died at 10:08 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert.

She was born September 22, 1927, in Van Wert, the daughter of Justice Elmer and Ada Elizabeth (Clouse) Mihm, who both preceded her in death. She married Ned Edward Clay, who survives in Van Wert.
Survivors include 11 children, Linda (John) Stutz of Van Wert, Sally (Paul) Ricker of Defiance, Dennis (Mary) Clay of St. Petersburg, Florida, David (Ellen) Clay of Fishers, Indiana, Gary (Melissa) Clay of Van Wert, Jane (Steve) Crawford of Van Wert, Michael (Linda) Clay of Convoy, Timothy (Jamie) Clay of Orange Park, Florida, Melissa “Missy” Clay of Van Wert, Amy Clay of Van Wert and Scott Clay of Convoy; 20 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and Sherri Clay.
Two brothers, Floyd Mihm and Robert Mihm; and four sisters, Helen Merschman, Gertrude Faulkner, Jessie Anderson and Virginia Kohus, also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Clay was a homemaker and a 1945 graduate of Van Wert High School.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, July 12, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
Calling hours are from 2-6 p.m. Saturday, July 11, at the funeral home.
