William H. Wheeler
William H. Wheeler, 62, of Convoy, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2015, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert.

He was born January 13, 1953, in Perrysburg, to Henry William and Ruth Ellen (Proxmire) Wheeler, who both preceded him in death.
He is survived by three daughters, Joy (Spencer) Short of Convoy, Esther Wheeler of Columbus and Amaris Wheeler of Convoy; a granddaughter, Alexandria Short; five brothers, Rick (Gwen) Wheeler of Latty, Richard Wheeler of Van Wert, David (Mary) Wheeler of Silver City, New Mexico, Henry (Juanita) Wheeler of Celina and Randy (Joann) Wheeler of Butler, Indiana; two sisters, Lynne (Chico) Candelaria of Celina and Anna (Scott) Hague of St. Marys; and many nieces and nephews.
A sister, Laurie Wheeler, also preceded him in death.
Joe, Bill, Willie, William, or however you knew him by, was a member of North Union United Methodist Church in rural Van Wert County. He loved playing board games, listening to all kinds of music, working with his metal detector and model railroad. He was a vivid storyteller and joke cracker. His daughters and granddaughters were his true passion. He was currently employed as a fork lift operator at Excel in Lima.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 6, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert. Burial will follow in Wiltsie Cemetery in Payne.
Calling hours are from 4-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 5, at the funeral home.
