4 people appear for CP Court hearings

Four people appeared in Van Wert County Common Pleas Court on Wednesday, with three changes of plea presided over by Judge Martin D. Burchfield and a probation violation hearing heard by Probate-Juvenile Court Judge Kevin Taylor.
Three people changed their plea from not guilty to guilty during hearings Wednesday in County Common Pleas Court.
Rebecca Greber, 34, of Van Wert, changed her plea to guilty to a charge of trafficking in drugs, a felony of the fifth degree. In exchange for her guilty plea, the prosecutor’s office dismissed two other trafficking charges. A presentence investigation was ordered and sentencing scheduled for 9 a.m. Wednesday, September 9.
Cody Teman, 31, of Delphos, entered a guilty plea to a charge of trafficking in cocaine, a felony of the fifth degree. Teman also admitted to using a 1998 Jeep Cherokee in the commission of the offense. A second trafficking count, a felony of the fourth degree, was dismissed in exchange of Teman’s guilty plea.
A presentence investigation was ordered and Teman will appear for sentencing at 9 a.m. Wednesday, September 16.
Ian Taylor, 21, of Van Wert, changed his plea to guilty to an amended charge of attempted grand theft, a felony of the fifth degree, which was downgraded from a felony of the fourth degree.
A presentence investigation was ordered and sentencing scheduled for 9 a.m. September 9.
During a probation violation hearing, Shane Harter, 35, of Delphos, was found to have violating his probation by not reporting to probation and not maintaining his employment.
He was resentenced to three years of community control under the same conditions as before, plus a new condition that he maintains his new job.
