Payne man’s death under investigation

PAYNE — Paulding County officials are investigating the death of a Payne man who was found dead in his kitchen Saturday morning.

The Payne Police Department and Paulding County Coroner Dr. Joseph Kuhn are assisting the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office in investigating the death of Cary Parsons, 50, of 202 Townline St. in Payne.

Deputies responded to a call of an unresponsive male at 10:25 a.m. Saturday and found Parsons dead in his kitchen.

“Our initial assessment of this death have developed some concerns,” Paulding County Sheriff Jason K. Landers said, adding: “The Ohio Attorney General’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation’s Crime Scene Investigative Unit has been called in to assist us.”

Payne and Antwerp EMS units also assisted investigators at the scene.
