GOBA thanks local organizers

Bill Gordon (right), director of the Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure, attended a Van Wert Rotary Club meeting recently to thank Larry Lee and Pete Weir for their efforts as organizers of the event here. He also wanted to thank Van Wert County Emergency Management Director Rick McCoy for all his efforts organizing transport for many riders on the final day of this year’s GOBA because of flooding along the event’s route. The event was held June 21-27 and it was the second time that Van Wert was the starting and finishing point for the annual GOBA event. This year’s event had more than 1,900 riders taking part in the event. (VW Rotary photo)
