The Van Wert girls’ tennis team pulled off a huge come-from-behind win Thursday night against the Ottawa-Glandorf Lady Titans, winning the Western Buckeye League contest by a score of 3-2.

Kali Agler won in dominating fashion at No. 2 singles, as did the No. 2 doubles team of Jessie Agler and Sierra Blackmore.

The match of the night came down to No. 3 singles, where Emma Verville was battling for her life after dropping the first set 6-4. With the match score tied at 2-2, it all came down to Verville, who pulled off an impressive comeback, winning the final who sets, 6-2, 6-2, to seal the deal for the Lady Cougars.

Van Wert is now 2-0 on the season and 1-0 in the WBL.
