Lancer girl golfers lose to St. Henry

Lincolnview girls’ golf information

The Lincolnview girls’ golf team was ambushed by the St. Henry Redskins Thursday evening at Hickory Sticks Golf Club, but took out the Hicksville Aces in a tri-match.

The Redskins came out slinging arrows, with two St. Henry girls tied for match medalist honors with great rounds of 39. Lauren Grieshop tallied two birdies on her round, while Klerianna Clune had one birdie to offset four bogies. A 45 and a 46 rounded out the recordsetting score of 169, which beat the Redskins’ old school record by 14 shots.

Tops for the Lancers was Makenzie Kraft, who was battling a stomach issue but still recorded a 44.  McKenzie Davis and Macala Ashbaugh each recorded 48s, while Marissa Miller rounded out the Lancer scoring with a 52. Madison Shepherd also participated for the Lancers.

The Hicksville Aces were also dealing early as Micah Schroeder and Riley Balser posted scores of 47 and 51, respectively. Rounding out the Aces scoring was Lainie Balser, 64, and Kalista McKinney with a 66.

With the split, the Lancers maintain a 4-1 record in dual matches, while the Redskins remain perfect on the season with six wins. Hicksville drops to 0-4 overall.
