Edwin Wayne Ainsworth

Edwin Wayne Ainsworth, 66, of Ohio City, died at 2:34 a.m. Thursday, September 3, 2015, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born October 4, 1948, in Van Wert, the son of Hugh V. and Martha (Wiseman) Ainsworth, who both preceded him in death. On July 8, 1972, he married Portia Lucille (Agler) Ainsworth, who died January 13, 2011.

Survivors include a daughter, Alison (Brandon) Miller of Van Wert; two grandchildren; three sisters, Norma Jean Bowen, Sue (Leroy) Ernie and Annie (Bill) Carr, all of Ohio City; and a brother-in-law, Basil (Glory) Agler of Ohio City.

A son, Ryan Wayne Ainsworth; one sister, Donna Lee Ainsworth; and three brothers, John David Ainsworth, Thomas Hugh Ainsworth and Mark Allen Ainsworth, preceded him in death.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 5, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City, with military honors performed by Harvey Lewis American Legion Post 346 in Ohio City.
