Buckeyes’ great to speak at Niswonger
Niswonger PAC information
The Niswonger Performing Arts Center, along with Dale and Sarah Burden and Lee Kinstle GM Sales & Service, present a lecture by Chris Spielman at 7:30 p.m. Monday, September 28.
There are athletes in this world who are good at what they do, and then there are athletes who are good to the world as well. Chris Spielman is just that kind of person. Not only is he a member of the College Football Hall of Fame and regarded as one of the best college linebackers of his time, but he is also a cancer warrior — continuing the fight that he and his late wife Stefanie started after her first breast cancer diagnosis. The Spielmans started a fund together that has currently raised over $15.4 million for breast cancer research.

Spielman has said that he discovered his biggest opponent in life wasn’t a hard-hitting football player, but rather the difficult fight against cancer. He is currently an ESPN college football analyst and a professional speaker. His success wasn’t easy, but it came from the life order that he still follows today: faith, family and community.
Spielman was a two-time All-American with the Ohio State Buckeyes, and an 11-year NFL star who played for the Detroit Lions, Buffalo Bills and Cleveland Browns. He represented the Lions in four Pro Bowls, and was named the team’s defensive MVP in 1993 and 1994.
Spielman will bring a message of inspiration and motivation for men, women and children of all ages when he appears at the NPAC on September 28. Tickets are still available and begin at just $10 online, anytime at NPACVW.ORG or at 419.238.6722 from noon-4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Supporting sponsors for the event are The Ohio State University Alumni Association of Paulding and Van Wert Counties, 1150 WIMA, Dark Horse Productions, Williamson Insurance Agency, Paulding Putnam Electric Cooperative Inc., Walmart, and US Bank. Season Sponsors are StateWide Ford Lincoln and Van Wert Federal Savings Bank.
The Niswonger Performing Arts Center is located at 10700 Ohio 118 on the south edge of Van Wert.
