“It was obviously a good day for both teams; to win both races on our home course in front of our fans and student body was exciting,” said Lincolnview Coach Matt Langdon. “We did some good things on the course, but still have to some work to do if we are to reach our end-of-season goals.”

Langdon said the next two weeks are key to how Lincolnview’s season ends.

“Hopefully, these wins will motivate the kids to continue to work hard and to re-focus on some of our goals that we set for the end of the season,” Coach Langdon added. “There were a lot of smiles today and that is always a good thing.”

Crestview’s Ashley Bowen was fifth in the small-school girls’ race (20:50), while Lady Knight Leslie Skelton finished 12th (21:37).

In the middle school division, the Van Wert boys won the title, while the VWMS Lady Cougars were runners-up to Minster. In the boys’ race, Lincolnview was fourth and Crestview eighth, while the Lady Lancers were sixth and the Lady Knights ninth in the girls’ race.
