WCS planning chicken dinner fundraiser

Wren Christmas Society information

WREN — The Wren Christmas Society is selling tickets for chicken dinners for Saturday, October 24. Gibson’s Barnyard BBQ will prepare the food.

The meal will include half a chicken, green beans, cheesy potatoes, and a roll. Meals are by presale tickets only, and tickets will be available for purchase until Friday, October 16.

Tickets are $8 each and are available for purchase now from any Wren Christmas Society member.

Dinners will be available for pick-up at the WCS building at Wren Ballpark on Saturday, October 24, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The money raised will be used to pay for replacement decorations for this holiday season.

In other WCS news, the Christmas decorations will be put up in Wren on Saturday, November 21, and the official lighting ceremony will be held Saturday, November 28, at dark (approximately 6 p.m.).

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be in Wren at the Santa House on Saturday, December 12, and Friday and Saturday, December 18-19, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Carriage rides, hot chocolate, and cookies will be available during Santa hours.
