Kenneth Buettner

Kenneth Buettner, 76, of Delphos, died Saturday, September 26, 2015, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born January 30, 1939, the son of Herschel “Curly” and Margaret (Warnecke) Buettner, who both preceded him in death. In August 1979, he married Josephine A. (Sander) Buettner, who died July 16, 2007.

Survivors include a son, Scott (Sheila) Buettner of Wapakoneta; one stepson, Kenwood Bartz of Lima; a brother, Jim (JoAnn) Buettner of Delphos; one sister, Mary (Charles) Wauben of Delphos; and two grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, October 1, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery in Delphos, with graveside military honors rendered by the Delphos Veterans Council.

Calling hours are from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, September 30, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, where a parish wake will be held at 7:30 that evening.
